Botho von La Chevallerie

Botho von La Chevallerie was a highly decorated Oberst in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knights Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Botho von La Chevallerie was killed onNovember 1943 near Klotschkowo, Ukraine and was posthumously promoted Oberst.
